What is Nanny?

Nanny is a certified breathing monitor designed for use in medical facilities as well as in households. It warns in case of breathing cessation, which may occur in children due to choking or SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). It also alerts about a decrease in breathing frequency.

How Nanny works

Each time the child breathes in, the green light flashes. If the baby does not breathe in for 20 seconds or the breathing rate falls below 8 breaths per minute, the red light will turn on and an alarm will sound. Often, just the sound of the alarm is enough to wake the baby from a deep sleep and breathe.

The BM-02/BM-03 Baby breathing monitor is a certified Class IIb medical device designed to monitor a baby’s breathing. It cannot be used to restore vital functions and is not a therapeutic device. It does not replace proper childcare. The monitor is intended for use by healthcare providers and for home care environments. Its purpose is to provide a warning, via optical and acoustic signals, in case of respiratory arrest or a decrease in respiration rate. This helps to warn against the possible danger of respiratory arrest, which may occur in young infants. Examples of causes include sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), suffocation, illness, or other reasons. No side effects or contraindications are known, given the nature and purpose of the product.
